Homemade Mac and Cheese

Mac and Cheese
50 minutes 4 servings


  • 2 cups macaroni - pick your favorite!
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • A pinch of black pepper
  • A couple dashes of nutmeg
  • A pinch of cayenne pepper - for a little kick!
  • 1 cup Plain La Yogurt Probiotic
  • 2 cups shredded cheese - we like cheddar!

    Cook the macaroni in salted water according to box directions

    Get your oven warmed up to 350 degrees

    Melt the butter over medium heat in a pan. Then add the flour and whisk over heat for a couple minutes. Add the milk and cover the pan until your mixture has thickened

    Take the pan off the heat and whisk in the spices
  • 5
    Add the La Yogurt Probiotic and stir in all but 1/2 cup of shredded cheese (you’ll sprinkle the rest on top later!)

    Pour over the macaroni in a large pot and mix to combine
  • 7
    Spray a baking dish with cooking spray to prevent stickiness, then pour the cheesy macaroni into the pan

    Sprinkle the rest of the cheese on top for a nice crunchy layer

    Bake for a half hour, or until the cheese on top is gooey and melted
