Seasoned Mashed Potatoes
1 1/2 hours
5 servings
Ingredients
- 4 garlic cloves (keep them in the skin)
- Drizzle of olive oil
- 2 medium-sized sweet potatoes and 2 medium-sized russet potatoes (poke them a few times with a fork)
- 1 Tbsp. unsalted butter
- 2 Tbsp. chopped parsley
- 1 Tbsp. chopped sage
- 1 3/4 tsp. salt
- Sprinkle of pepper
- 1/3 cup Plain La Yogurt Probiotic
A hearty side dish for your holiday meals
Directions
- 1
Get your oven nice and toasty at 400 degrees
- 2
Make a roasting packet for the garlic by drizzling olive oil on top of the cloves and wrapping them in a foil bundle
- 3
When the oven is heated, put the garlic bundle and potatoes on the top rack with a baking sheet below to catch any drips
- 4
Bake for about 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the potatoes are cooked and tender – careful, the russet potatoes might take up to 15 minutes longer!
- 5
Peel the potatoes and squeeze the garlic from the skins. Put it all into one large bowl
- 6
Pass through a ricer or mash by hand. Then, stir in the remaining ingredients – butter, parsley, sage, salt, and pepper.
- 7
Gently fold in the Plain La Yogurt Probiotic and enjoy!
